The best source for parts for this tractor is still your friendly neighborhood CaseIH dealer. For bigger parts, your friendly neighborhood tractor salvage yard is also a good source. Because everything is so big and heavy on this tractor, you need to find local sources. It's one of the later models IH produced, from 1977-1981. Parts are still plentiful, and most of the mechanicals interchange with the earlier '66 series tractors. Some parts will interchange clear back to the '06 series. As far as putting an open canopy on the tractor, it's no simple feat. Basically, everything above the transmission, from the steering wheel back, needs to be pulled off and replaced because the cab and operator's platform are a single unit. Working on these tractors isn't like fixing an old M. They have complicated electrical and hydraulic systems, and many of the parts are HEAVY. I hope you have a network of overhead I beams and chain hoists in your shop, as well as a good working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Othewise, you'll do more harm than good, and you should really consider sending the tractor off to the local CaseIH dealer to have repairs made.
