Farmall Color?

Were most Farmall tractors red? I have an old picture of my grandfather and my mother on an old Farmall tractor (approx. mid 1940's). I think that the tractor was new or nearly new when the picture was taken. I'd like to try to paint the picture if I can and I am trying to figure out what colors to use. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

1936 model year farmalls and earlier are grey. Here's a link to IHC archives if you want to look more.

Prior to 1934 or 35 Farmall tractors were all gray.

You could take a look at some similar tractors in the tractor photo gallery listed on the left of the page.

Thanks guys! I'll try to post a picture of the tractor in question. It looks like it has all metal wheels on it. Also, it could have been a used tractor when it was purchased. I am not sure of that. It could have even been a borrowed one. I'll post a picture and see if anyone can tell me the approximate year of the model.

Thanks, Steve
