I'm thinking of using one of those plumming type shut-off valves with a in-line filter on my H. I would remove the sediment bowl completely. Has anyone had any experience with this? Would a plumming 3/8" valve work? What filter would be the best?

Thanks

Leave the sediment bowl and install a filter in the line between the sediment bowl and the carb. NAPA can supply both a filter and a shut off valve if you want a shut off in addition to the sediment bowl valve. I have two tractors that have quarter turn plastic valves from NAPA. One of them still has the sediment bowl, the other just a filter. The tractor was like that when I got it. 3/8 rubber gas line tubing works well with them.

I would not remove the sediment bowl They are highly effective. Adding an in-line filter is a good idea though. Glenn F.

A 3/8" would would work fine. Thats what I use. as for the filter I use a 3/8" Purolator filter. Advanced Auto carries them. Any fuel filter is good as long as its designed for a non-pressureized system. Use ones that are designed for a carb system. Andrew
