Did the last C tractors have hydraulics? I thought I was looking at a Super C, but it has a T on the casting code. It has no tag.

T is 1950, C's were made through 1951 (U or W), I don't know the month. There were also about 31000 Super C's in 1951, those likely had mostly W codes. A Super C will have curved clutch and brake petals along with disk brakes. The C's band brakes have stamped covers, the Super C's are cast. Those two differences are the easiest to explain, there are others. You are probably looking at a C. If it has mostly T casting codes, or T and U, it is a C. The code is on nearly every cast part.

The C's had the C-113 engine & the Super C's had the C-123 engine with a water pump. A pump could be installed on the C's. See what number is on the engine. There's other differences between these tractors. Someone will post the other differences. We had a new C in 1950 & I had a Super C that had the fasthitch. Hal

When did they start putting the 123 in the Super A?

The Super A's started with the C-113 engine in 1947 used that block up to SN 310299. Starting with SN 310300 to 356001 they had the C-123 block with thick sleeves, I think the cid was still C-113. The first of these were made in 1951. Then after SN 356001 they boosted the bore to have the C-123 engine in their tractors in 1954. This engine also came with the water pump installed.
You could retrofit the other tractors too, that had the C-123 block with a water pump. Hope I got all that right. Hal
