I have an M that I want to put a narrow front end on. I got one front end and found out that my rims didn't fit it. Then I got another with the rims. I was comparing the two and noticed they were different. The one on the right slants backward more than the other. Does anyone know what the difference is? Should I use one over the other? It looks like the slanted back one may make it want to straighten out more than the other?

the lower bolster with the lesser angle is from a late m or newer. the late m's had the angle changed for easier steering.

Hooray for narrow fronts. I'v got mine with the narrowest spread-- rims bolted to inside of hubs (yeah I know its more pain to change a flat) and it steers a lot easier than if they are set apart farther.

I figured the angle would effect the steering effort. Easier steering is better. The reason I'm changing it out is the wide front is so hard to steer and the turning radius is terrible. Besides the fact that it is totally worn out. Thanks for the info.

Most of those have a cast # and a date code on the post.If you could post those someone can tell what they were from.

I think the spindles are the same though I didn't actually measure them. They are both much larger in diameter than the spindles on the wide front that's on the tractor now. That's why I had to get the hubs also. I'll check though. They both came off M's supposidly. Thanks for the info.

The one on the right is what is supposed to be on the M,,,,, The left, may be off a newer tractor, maybe like an 06 or something along that line,,,, Which one has larger diameter spindles? The M may have longer length spindles too,,,, Chad
