My F-12 has this (looks like factory) drawbar. What was it used for? I haven't found any pictures in any of my books.

This is the drawbar that came with the Model 90 Chain Lift Single Bottom Plow. If you have a 1939 General Line Catalog, it shows up on page 430. Looks pretty much the same as in the catalog.

Close but not quite. The #90 plow is the one on page 13 of the F-Series Photo Archive, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread. The #90 drawbar is a left half. This is about 2/3.

Another odd thing about this one is there seems to be no vertical bracing.

A friend of mine about 6 miles away has one of these chain lift plows mounted on a F-14. I'm going to have to go look at it to be sure. I'll let everyone know.

Sloroll, I can"t come up with a picture of it right now either but if you look at Wendel"s "150 Years of International Harverster" page 316 bottom of page there is a F-12 with a mounted single bottom plow. That hitch would still stay on with that plow! I have seen that combination in a picture somewhere wish I could find it!

I looked all through my plow book too with no luck. What other brackets are on the tractor that would give us a clue?

Only thing is that the right axle mount (cast to axle) has been broken. YOu can see it in this photo. Other than that, there are no unusual brackets or bolts.

Nope the other, further right. See how it is flat on top? It should be round.

It is used for the drawbar bracing on a standard drawbar and cultivator mounts too. This is another 33 F-12. It has kind of a neat drawbar too (addition to standard). I haven't seen a shock mount drawbar. I don't get out much though :? )

CHecked it out in Wendel's book. It might be that, but this one extends out the back quite a bit further. It almost looks as if they had something mounted on the right axel where the drawbar normally is connnected and had to move the one side inward.

It is really interesting Howard It runs about 2/3 a regular F-12 drawbar. I keep trying to find a place where it was cut and welded but so far I haven't seen any signs to tell me it isn't factory. Its got me puzzled. I was thinking mounted picker too. This is a 33 F-12.

bottom picture is dark, but from i can see, its not a w12 series drawbar. the sides would be shorter and not the long curve where it bolts on. pg
