Hugh thanks for the comeback. I am trying to ID my loader. It has A frame that bolts to each side of rear axle. Round pipes that extend past front axle and bend downard. It is trip bucket. There is a photo of it on the John Deere board about page 6 or 7? titled Trenton Tenn. tractor show. Photo No.50

marvin: That loader at the Trenton show is a 33 loader. The only difference on the 33A would be the added cylinder for hydraulic bucket, it was just one single hydraulic cylinder mounted in center at front. The frame and mounting of the two loaders are the same.

The model 33 was the first IH loader that could be used with wide front end. The older 30 and 31 loaders were for narrow front only. I think the 33 loader was introduced around 1951 or 2, then 2 to 3 years later came the 300 and 400 with multi-valve dual action hydraulics and everyone wanted hydraulic bucket, thus the model 33A.

There was also a smaller version of this loader, made speciffically for SC, 200, 230, etc. Exact same lines just scaled down in size a bit. Don't remember the model number, may have been 32. I know there was also a model 34 designed for utility tractors.

I am seeking help in indentifying the model on a McCormick loader that came on a 1952 Farmall Super C I recently bought. It has a manual trip, manure forks with a slip on 36" wide bucket. I can make out the "IH McCormick" decals on the side rails. It has adjustable legs that fold down for it to stand on so the loader can be unbolted and the tractor driven out from under it. Any information would be helpful as I want to get a manual for it, and restore it along with the tractor. Thanks! Bob

marvin: It's been 40 years since I had my 33A but if I recall correctly 33 was a manual trip bucket and 33A was hydraulic bucket. My memory is a bit rusty, but I think that is the difference.
