Just a quick note to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the "States". It has been a great year so far and here is hoping that next year is even better. I will personally say thanks to all for the professional manner in which everybody has been posting lately. It just goes to show what a great family we are here on this board. I hope that during this holiday season everybody can spend some time either in person or via phone with their loved ones that mean the most to them. Happy Holidays! Randy

I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to every one. I feel like I have made some real friends on here. some are far away some close to where I am. Some I have met in person some I have talked to on the Phone, and many I hope to meet some day before I leave here. I will be taking a long trip to my Mothers house tomorrow, about 150 ft. from mine. She will be 90 years old Dec.23rd. Jimmy C. King

Wow, Randy. What a response. Here's one more from deep in the Black Belt of Central Alabama. I complain that when it's too cool to wear shorts comfortably, it's too dang cold. 67 degrees here today and a little cool for me, but reading some of the "yankee" reports, I guess I should thank my lucky stars I have it so comfortable here. Better yet, I'll thank God. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, from one red tractor friend to all the others. You really are a great group of friends. God bless America and Canada (and the rest of the world, for that matter).

And a Happy Thanksgiving from all of us in the Swenson family. I reside in West Central MN but am writing from San Jose, CA. We are here to share the Lord"s blessings with my daughter"s family. Of course, a 6 month old granddaughter helps encourage the old folks to get out of town, too.
If anyone is near the San Jose area give me a call & I"ll buy the coffee. 218-770-4623.
Saw several "restored" tractors in town; I have never seen such lack of concern for preparation or even decal placement when investing $$ in the restoration process. For example, the Super C round decal for the hood was placed at the rear of the hood nearly on the gas tank.
Oh well, at least they aren"t in the junk yard.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you on this site that help so many people with their tractor questions. It is a great feeling to have this type of assistance when something goes wrong. I live in the flat lands of Illinois. No rain or snow for some time here. Very dry and windy.
Eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie tomorrow, cause Friday its back to work. And a big thank you to all our veterans out there which have enabled us all to keep this very special day.

..and a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone south of the border and a Happy Thursday to everyone North. I find it fun to try to guess where the ones I don't know are from. I'm in the upstate of South Carolina near the Georgia and North Carolina border. Been playing with a 100'ish year old sawmill that I've just got operational(sort of) last weekend. To tie it in to here, I've been pulling it with my '49 H and plan on trying it with the '27 Regular. Slow sawing, but fun. Kevin

Happy Thanksgiving All

Since were in Arizona and it's warm this afternoon, it's hard to get in the holiday spirit. Feels like mid-summer day in the cold country.

Randy: To you and all your respondants, Happy Thanksgiving. Here in SW Ontario, I couldn't help but think about you guys over the past few days. The company I work for grow cabbage, most of it going for cole slaw. We have 3 customers in Detroit. On Mon. morning I was in Toronto with a load of cabbage, (another customer) at 6 am my employers wife phones. She said, " We have you scheduled for customer 1 and 2 in Detroit on Tues. and a full load to customer 3 on Wed. Customer 3 can't wait until Wed., can you go to all 3 each day." Don't forget these guys all ordered extra last week. As it turns out I did a 53' trailer load to Detroit each day and two of these customers were afraid they may have to do some rationing with their retailers. If all food commodity sales are up as much as cabbage aka cole slaw, 30 hours from now all you guys will be able to do is groan.

This Thanksgiving thing with you guys rather facinates me. Statistically it is the holliday that Americans do more travelling than any other. Here in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in mid Oct. and most Canadians treat it as a kind of ho hum event. We tend to get more excited about Christmas or the mid May holliday. Christmas I can see, but that May holliday, I never got real excited about, always came in planting time, and left me working 18 hours per day. But Canadians, believe it or not, actually use that weekend to open up the summer cottage and let the black flies and mosquotos feed on them. This is just some of the differences I see between Canadians and Americans.

As some of you may know, I grew up in Nova Scotia, 300 miles from the US border. We basically knew the difference was you guys threw the tea in Boston Harbour and told the British Crown where to go. Why the difference, I'll never know, most folks on this continant left Europe looking for a better life and fleeing opression.

In Nova Scotia when we saw a US licence plate the folks were either a tourist or a relative. Now, living here in SW Ontario, we are in contact with Americans everyday, 300 miles from nearest other Canadian province. If we see a licence plate from another Canadian province the folks are either a tourist or a relative. I am open to suggestion of other differences, but that is as I see it.

You guys and gals have a great holliday. Come the first of the week, all you need do to loose the added weight is cut back on bread and potatoes and cut out sweet foods. I lost 50 lbs. since March, just that way.

Greetings from Lynden Washington which is as far northwest as you can go without falling in the Pacific Ocean or entering the Canadian province of British Columbia. We are 2 miles from the Canadian border and yes it does rain a bit at times but the scenery is a pretty good trade off. I grew up in Oskaloosa Iowa and moved here in 1984. We own and operate a landscape and property maintenance business and have for 22 years. Been around Farmall tractors all my life and even did some organic farming a few years back to keep the cob webs out. I have 20 some tractors plus cub cadets and lots of parts and original brochures etc. etc.. A very happy Thanksgiving to all and we will try to stop and take a minute to say hello to people that are hurting either from health or natural disaster during this past year. Regards Migraine aka Howard Nunnikhoven Lynden Wa.

I'm in SE SD. 7 miles from the CORN PALACE, in Mitchell. "Drove" my first tractor in 1945, at age 5, on Grandpa's farm. But it was the little grey "Fergie" as he called it. his big tractor was na F-20. He still had the 27 Model T he bought new, when he died at age 89 in 1973.

Same to you, Randy, and holiday wishes to the entire group as well. I discovered this site a couple of months ago after buying my Super M, and I have to say it has been one of the BEST THINGS I've found on the Internet. The expertise, friendliness and desire to help others is amazing and very gratifying to me. Whenever I check in, I feel I've just come in the door of a coffee shop at dawn with all the guys there. I've often tried to figure out where everyone is from. Sometimes it's not hard to guess, from their handle, but sometimes it is. I'd like to know that--if it isn't a no-no.

I'll start. My home is in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin, about 4 miles north of the IL/WI line. I live in Linn Township, fighting to stay rural in spite of growth, but my mailing address is Lake Geneva. I drove my first H (now belonging to my cousin) at my grandfather's and uncle's 80-acre farm a couple of miles south--in a little bitty town named Zenda. That's where the world of TRACTORS began for me.

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving to All.

Enjoying the snow in Lake Geneva? We had a nice covering this morning just a bit northwest of you.

It is quite entertaining to see if I can pin a location on some of you guys. Sometimes it"s easy, and sometimes it"s hard...but the help is always appreciated. I"ve worked on a lot of classic tractors in my limited number of years, but always get a lot of satisfaction out of it. After recently restoring a 68 Cougar, to start on a late 52" H is really a nice breather. The total quantity of work is not near as much, and let"s face it...going fast in a classic car is great, but I get just as much satisfaction out of chuggin" along on an old Farmall.

Everyone have a safe Thanksgiving, and thanks for all the help.

Billy

I知 east of Sacramento Ca, pretty close the famous Johnny Cash痴 Folsom Prison. I also want to thank all of you for the help I needed to put a 300 U back together from a basket and field of parts. I値l be cranking up the 300 for show and tell to about 20 family members that will be over for dinner. You folks have a world of knowledge that cannot be surpassed and I really appreciate the help.

Happy Thanksgiving to All
