I recieved my 2006 O.E.M. Tractor Parts cataloge the other day. Thumbing through it, I noticed that they are producing a excellent grille that fits the m, sm, mta, etc. I did notice that the grille they are producing has an extra set of holes. The holes I am refering to are in line, on the horizontal axis, to the two holes that are used to mount the cultivator bracket. I,ve only seen this type grille on SMT-A's. What were the holes used for. I wish O.E.M. would take a set of their dies and modify it to the older design. They could produce both grille styles and maybe even offer new hoods in the future.

Those outboard holes are for cultivator attachment eye-bolts. Basically serves the same function as the ones in the center, but for newer cultivators. I have a set of this type of cultivator, and I need the accessory bar that bolts to the center holes to mimick the SM outer eye-bolts for my 1942 M.

I'm sure a competant metal worker can cut the grill bars free and roll the edges to make them look like the early style. I would guess that an early grill in coming in the future, or at least I hope so. I would buy a few...

Tom,

Just wondering. Is the O.E.M. catalog free or does it cost something? I saw the 2005 version online and thought I might want to have the new one. Thanks.

They are free. Just got my 2006 copy last week. They have a 10% off sale on everything through Dec. 31, 2005. If you have ordered anything from them in the past your's is probably in the mail. Hal
