Mornin' Guys,

UGH! Is this any way to start a day?

I know it is a negative ground, and so far, I haven't found anything that is positive about it. :>(

But, onwards and upwards as they say. We shall have functioning idiot lights today, 'er I'm jumpin' out the derned basement window! :>)

Been looking at 656D or 686G like the 656 but it din't start very good other day at 40 deg.686 looks nicer lower hrs. but higher price and its a gas.I'm kinda tired of plugs and pts on gassers. Whats your opinion.

Used to have a 656D. Every fall I would advance that injector pump ever so slightly, just the width of the timing mark.

Made a totally different tractor out of it as far as ease of starting in cooler weather goes.

However, in the spring a guy has to remember to back 'er up again, or it will "flair" at high idle and smoke grey.

I dunno. Those old 656s are sure startin' to get a little long in the tooth.

The jury is still out on the gassers around here too; but they sure pop off nice. :>)

Is jumpin out the basement window anything like picking yourself up in a bushel basket. I would have done it if the handles would quit breaking.
