I have a 1947 Farmall A. With both steering arms and both front axels set the same and both front wheels mounted the same, the left front wheel tracks the center of the left rear, but the right front wheel tracks the outside of the right rear. Is this the way they were made? Does it have anything to do with the offset body? Look at yours and let me know if its like mine.

William: What wheel tread setting are you using? The reason I ask this is, I have seen the same on my 130 at very wide tread settings. The right cast wheel is thicker than the left pressed wheel. Do you have the cast wheel on the right?

I have used over the years tread settings of 48", 52" 56" 60" 64" and 68". I have never used the 40" and 44" settings. There are certain settings whereby what you are seeing is true. There are actually 8 settings for both front and rear, and I agree some are not accurate. I should also point out it is very easy to have one setting different as Paul has suggested.

Mine tracks dead center on both sides. The front axle can telescope out. Is yours telescoped out one notch on the right side? You can make the Farmall A four different widths by reversing the back wheels for two positions, then reversing the cast iron part of the rear wheels for two mor settings. The front axle can telescope to match the back, plus you can reverse the tires.
