Does anyone know how to check the float level on my '58 Cub LoBoy? I have the carb apart, soaked over night, putting in new needle & seat, & would like to check the float level before I put it back togather.
Thanks, Ken C.

The float level is measured from the upper body of carb to the bottom of float. Should be 1 -13/32". Hal

Hi Hal,
I saw that float measurement in my IT manual, but I think it only applies to the std. cub. The reason I say that is because my LoBoy float is vertical, not horizontal like most floats. Does this still apply here?
Thanks again,
Ken C.

The Cub carburetor is called the 3/4 updraft in my manual. Someone on the Cub forum may have a shop manual on the Lo-Boy carburetor. Hal
PS: Call this number 1-800-732-0017 and ask for farm tractor service. They will fax you the info
or tell you over the phone what the setting is.

My manual only list's the Cub, nothing about the low-boy. Put this question over on the Cub forum
and I'm sure someone over there has the answer.
There's probably a difference. Hal
