I have a 51 Farmall M that has no belt pully. I have located what appears to be a complete belt pully gearbox, but decided not to buy it until I ask the experts here about installation. How difficult would it be to install a belt pully gearbox on my M?
THANKS!! P.Womble

Make sure it is for an M -- That is, the "In-Out" lever points to the driver's right and has a dog-leg in it. Also, if possible, try to get the lever that shifts the pulley in and out of gear.

Not hard at all just remove plate install new gasket set it on and bolt it down. You should try to get original bolts as a few of them are rather long and probaly not available at typical hardware store.
