haven't figured out what this is really for. Looks like a temp sending unit in the hydraulic res., but temp gage is no where to be found. Even a place for it to mount cannot be located. Is this a temp sender, it is the part that tube is running to, just under the steering rod...thanks

By the way, if you remove those four bolts holding that plate on, there is a metal screen filter for the touch control unit attached, which probably needs cleaning. It is re-usable.

Yes, that is exactly what it is. The rest of the unit has probably rotted off over time. That is the temperature sending unit to the gauge that was originally mounted on top of the touch control quadrant. Replacement units are pricey, about $75-80 from EOM Tractor Parts. Do a web search.

I have two Super C's and neither one of my gauges moves no matter how long I run them. I'll try Peabody's cleaning suggestion. My neighbor tried to "clean and repair" his gauge and now just has a stub of cable sticking out of the sender when he couldn't get it back together and found the price of replacement.

That is 100% correct on what Peabody said. I would metion that the gauge was optional My Super C has one and my 100 does not, and they only used it up untill the 230 I belive. The one on my super C and have never seen it move. And Like peabody said they are quite expensive. I was going to buy a new one for My Super C when I restored it but say the price and said you got to draw the line some were>. Andrew

The mount is between the leavers on top of the bracket.
