I am trying to find out the year and model of a International Dozer that was given to me. It looks like a TD6 but I am not sure. It has a six cyclender diesel engine with glow plugs. If any one could help me with this I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks Doug

If it is a TD-6 it would be a TD-6 62 series. they had the 282 cu.in. direct start 6 cyl diesel in them after S#1403 starting some time in 1960. As previously mentioned, with the serial # should be able to identify for sure.

Pretty sure the TD-6 had a four cylinder engine. Others may know different, but that was my memory.

Wouldn't be a TD-6 since a TD-6 started on gas and switched over to diesel, unless some one did an engine swap.

I saw the 62 series listed, that's why the SN would help. Hal

early td6 had four cylinders,no glow plugs and indeed did start on gas and switched over to diesel. these were a gem to run provided everything pertaining to starting was just so. I must confess i once started mine using jumper cables on diesel...what a racket!!!

I think this tractor is the TD6-62 with the D282
6 cylinder diesel engine. Hal
PS: Need the SN to be sure.
