I just bought my first Farmall. I am trying to get it running. I think all is ready but the carburetor. I was wondering there was a ball park setting for float, needle and seat and so on.

Assemble the needle, seat, and float into the top of the carb. Turn the assembly over and set the float so that it is sitting level. The spec for the float is 1 27/32" from the bottom of the float to the upper body (top cover).

There are operators, parts, and service manuals available for this tractor. You can get them from this website, your local CNH (?) dealer, or an outfit called binder books. I prefer the latter.
