Does anyone know what tractors have the same
engine as a gas 403 combine. I want to save a
good engine off of an old combine. Thank You.

The only gas engine ever used in the 403 IH combine was the C-263 rated at 90 hp at 2400 rpms. That engine was also used in the 560,656,706 tractors.

The D-301 diesel was also offered in the 403 too.

We once owned a 1963 403 gas combine.

My manual list's the C-263, C-153, C-221, and C-282 engines for the 403 combine. The C-221 will fit the 460 tractor. The C-153 may be the H engine & the C-263 for the Super M unless they're
not the same engine used in the tractors. I would doubt that. Hal

C 263 was a 6 cylinder and the 264 was the 4 banger that was in the S/M

Also the C153 is the 504/444 engine (sleeveless bored & stroked motor from the C113/C123/C135 line). The H motor was a 152 incher.

Will the crank out of the C-153 bolt up in a C-113? Sounds like I need one if it does.
