A non-spring trip plow came with my 140 last year and I told myself if I came across a spring-trip plow like my Dad's 140 had, I'd buy it. Today I bought a 2-14 single point fast hitch plow from Kernersville Farm Equipment. They had re-built the plow with new points and new blocks on the away from furrow side (what do those short blocks do - just serve as rub strips?). It plowed like a dream! It also has more clearance and didn't clog up with trash like my older rounded-looking plow body did. Hit a root and the plow tripped like it should. This plow also has a semi-circular hitch notch that fit/slipped around the bottom horizontal linkage of the tractor's fast hitch. The older plow did not have that additional link point to the fast-hitch. The plow wear parts appear to the same as the ones on my rounded looking plow. We are parched in NC and our piedmont clay is tough when moist but darn near concrete today. Had to run the 140 in first gear and still had to have a fast hand on the lift levers because she would sit and spin even on her fluid-loaded new 11.4-24s. Even though its just a big garden patch, it sure was relaxing working the land with a plow that wants to dig.

Sounds like a nice plow. I thought you would've gotten rain from TS Tammy. It was dry as powder here in MD this summer. We got over 13 inches of rain from that storm. The ground really plowed nice after that rain. There 's was a lot of flooding in some areas, sure glad I live on a hill. I spent 2 years at Ft Bragg with the 82nd
we loved that weather down there. Hal

East of I-95 has had a abundance of rain, west or I-95 izz in a major drought to the point lakes and rivers are dry’in up. We dodged the big rains from the hurricanes sum how. In central NC we have had only 1/10” of rain in 25 days, and not much before that. Big’er cities are into major water restrictions with healthy finds. Gotta have water to fight fires. We sure need rain soon
