Hi Guys,

Bought this old hydro. I notice the hi-lo stick is stuck forward in the low position. Works fine, just won't shift back into high.

Okay, I ask the red shop to squirt a little penetrating oil on that shifter to get it to move.

At the end of the 2nd day of soaking, beating, heating, greasing and swearing, they finally got the cross shaft loosened up, but the silly thing still would not shift back into hi range.

They pull the floor board and battery out of the tractor, there was a bolt or a nut that years ago had fallen down into the linkage preventing the thing from coming back into hi.

So bottom line is, this old tractor has been in lo range for the better part of it's life.

Thought that was kind of comical. :>)

Very Interesting. I bought a tractor & could not get the seat to move back far enough. Every time i'd go to use the tractor i'd say why won't this seat go back further. One day I started to take the whole seat off and found a pony shoe that was wedged back there out of view. I kept the shoe. Maybe it's a sign!

Yeah,

It'll be kinda nice to get more than 10mph outta the old pooper for a change. :>)
