On this site under tractor parts is Farmall Paint.
The brand that is sold is TISCO. Is this a good paint to use? I'm looking for a paint that will last (not for show).
Thanks
Elk Farmer

In a word, no. The minimum paint to use is Case-IH 2150, it is an acrylic modified alkyd enamel, TISCO is straight alkyd enamel, unless they have changed it, it will fade. If you use hardener with it, or anything else, you need a supplied air system. Automotive acrylic enamel can also be used with or without hardener. Urethane paints require hardener.

Not sure about that paint but I buy my paint from my CNH dealer. CIH 2150 also you should use the CIH primer with the paint and now hardener is also avaible. The next step up would be automotive paint but that requires special breathing equipment ect.

ANY hardened paint requires a supplied air system. CIH 2150 with hardener, industrial paints, automotive paints, whatever. I say this to so that people who use the "non-automotive" 2150 with hardener and just a cartridge mask don't make themselves sick. The only exception to this that I know of is that most, perhaps all, 2K epoxy primers do not contain isocyanates.

I don't know anything specific about the CIH hardener, but I am under the impression that ANY hardener requires special breathing equipment.
