I'm trying to find what would be recommeded for a trailer to match with a 1953 Super C Farmall Tractor. I have an old trailer basic frame, but need help on how the trailer needs to be finished.

The Super C weighs about 2900 lbs, empty, weights and loaded tires etc can push 4000. Your trailer including the trailer weight and tractor should be rated for about 5000. If it were me, I would shoot for 2 3500 lb axles and framework that supports 7000 lbs. That is a pretty standard $2000 car trailer, capable of carrying an H. In any event make sure that the frame will support the weight, not just the axles.

I guess I shouldn"t expect you guys to read my mind!!! I should have been a little more specific!
The trailer is to be pulled. Would like to display, put in "Christmas Parades", pull for hay rides for the kids, etc.

If you're planning on hauling children I would have a rider put on your insurance policy to cover this and and have them sign a waiver. Hal

Sounds like what you want is just a common ordinary flatbed hayrack mounted on a 4 wheeled wagon running gear. The flatbed would be something like 7 feet wide and maybe 12 feet long. Or maybe a single axle lowboy hay trailer which would be much easier to manuever in tight places. Either one would fill the bill for parades and hayrides.

Here's a web site for trailers. You may get some ideas from here. Click on Flat trailers. Hal

Is the trailer to haul the C, or to be pulled by it?
In the later case we need to know what you intend to haul.

They have a trailer at this orchard where we pick strawberries. They use a Super C to pull a tandem wheel trailer that has seats on it with back rests to haul customers to & from the orchard. Some of these guys that post on here have made trailers when this question came up sometime ago.

If you're going to participate in a parade I would make it fancy. For hauling wood it doesn't need to be so fancy. Hal
