In order, the red colors were IH 50, IH 1102B, IH 201, IH 2150. Most people use 2150, although it did not appear until 1961. IH 50 crosses to PPG 70019/DuPont 7410. IH 2150 crosses to PPG 71310/DuPont 96766. A slight orange tint can usually be seen in the PPG version. I do not know if 201 or 1102B can be mixed. IH 50 was used from 1936 until sometime in 1949, I do not know the time periods of 1102B and 201, only that 1102B was used before 201, and that 2150 replaced 201. The best paint is acrylic urethane made by PPG, DuPont, or Sherwin Williams. The hardener used with it can be deadly, it REQUIRES a supplied air system. You can use acrylic enamel or acrylic modified alkyd enamel (2150 sold by Case-IH) without hardener. Anything of lesser quality (straight alkyd enamel sold by farm stores) is not worth messing with.

IH paint decisions in the Wisconsin Historical archives indicate that the use of IH 201 paint began being used on all tractors in 1958 with the introduction of the 460/560 and other models introduced about the same time. 201 was replaced by 2150 in Nov 1961 with the introduction of the 404 and 504.

just a quick additon The PPG IH50 orange tint issue appears to be with the "Omni" line of paint, Not the "Concept" line. Same paint code, same brand, both Urethans.

I assume you mean 2150 has the orange tint, that's where I have seen the problem with Omni. I have not used 50 yet. Also thinking about using Concept. As to the orange, the DuPont 2150 (96766), so I am told, has no orange toners in it. Thus different manufactures have different toners in their paint, and although it supposedly matches the IH color, they are all have slightly different colors. Wish I had a brand new preserved 40's 50's tractor, so that I could actually see what the correct color is.

Check out the following link then paint it any color you want. I used a urethane that turned out very well. A little pricey, but better paint than the emplement enamel. You can see my two farmalls at wallaceg.com
