Hello, I just purchesed a Farmall MD, when I purchesed it, it had no Starter. Didn't think it would be a big deal untill I realized it was a 3 bolt mount, rather then the standard 2 bolt mount found on the H's. These 3 bolt starters ARE hard to come by. Is there another starter that will work? And will the 2 bolt starter like on the H fit, and just ignore the extra bolt hole? any advice would be SO greatly appreciated.
Thanks Kindly
Matt

The starter from a W-6 will fit, they are three bolt. My MD currently has an M starter on it with a T-6 nose cone(3 bolt as well), while the regular starter is being rebuilt.

I would call HARVEY BROS in GALESBURG,ILL and get a rebuilt one with a warranty that way you will have a good one. Probably cost around 150 or so. Could spend money for used and get junk. They have been rebuilding for many years,
