Needing to add.
A system flush is profoundly appropriate, they tend to buildup a layer of gunkie brown rusty stuff in the lower cylinder jackets.
I like the newer Universal coolants with corrosion inhibitors that are advanced compared to plain old antifreeze. 50/50 mix.

I just did that yesterday. I drain & flush every other year and put in a 50/50 mix of Zerex.
Permanent doesn't mean forever either.

We used Zerone, an alcohol base antifreeze years ago. We installed it in the Fall and drained it in the Spring. Never had a radiator problem or a cooling problem. Hal
