I"v been looking at some pictures of H"s on the net and the bolster seems to point backwards. However on my H it seems to point in a more foward direction. The bolster is not loose and there is very little play in the steering. My question is could the bolster be on backwards? is there any way to tell if it is??
Thanks for the help Andrew

If you look on my web page under 43 H you will see a bolster that is turned backwards. The other gentleman is right as well you can shim the bolster as well.

Thanks guys for the response, I looked today and mine is on backwards could not see any shims. Is there any harm in ruunning it like this, and is there any reason to why they turned it? thanks for the help Andrew

I'm guessing you have a wedge installed between the upper and lower bolster sections. These were provided by IH and some aftermarket companies to angle the front wheels forward a bit to improve steering.
