1963 806 gas has been sitting for 6 months to a year. The hydraulic oil has leaked out but now has been refilled, but the steering (hydrostatic) won"t steer. Need some advice as how to proceede. Will it help to crack a line to bleed air out of the system, and if so, which one? Tractor is not near me, 200 miles away. Trying to help my brother get it going. ANY advice is apreciated. Thanks

On the mcv valve theirs a plug you can take out and bleed the system of air.Its on the front to the bottom of the valve below where the oil cooler lines attach.

well cracking a line will not help as there is no line that you can crack. And just where did the hdy oil leak from . I would change the hdy. filter and install a new gskt. fill it up then start it and run the engine at around 1500 rpm to 2000 rpm and turn the steering wheel to the left as this is the way you bleed them.
