Took a picture of the tractor body to the rear of the gear shift and just left of the seat. These two bolts look like they have been taken out recently and I was wondering what is supposed to be there? Anyone have any idea? Talking about the two large bolts in the flat area, middle of pic. I think the fellas who sold it to me scavenged a few parts for resale or another tractor. Not complainin as I got a nice little tractor in the deal.

Those are attachment points for the rear part of the cultivators, There are 2 flat bars that bolt on those bolts and extand to the rear.

BTW, if they were the originals, they would have square heads.

Well at least they keep the mud daubers out! I would have guessed they was to hold some kinda bracket for a rear light. Whereabouts does the light go if you put one on the rear? There is what appears to be a cable holder just above those bolts so I am thinkin it must be close by.

Those holes were for mounting parts of several different implements. The rear light bracket was normally attached to the left seat bracket. Since your tractor has an aftermarket Monroe seat, I don't know if it has the place for mounting the light or not. The clip under the transmission cover bolt is for a light wire. The wire is routed along the left side of the cover then across the back of it.

Thanks Jim, yeah I can see that now. I found a sketch of it in the back of the manual under lights. The Monroe bracket (must be Monroe because the cross pipe that goes under the seat to the other bracket is welded to it) has three holes and a spot for the light. Now I see what I need to do. Gotta gets some lights on this old girl so my kid and I can drive it this fall. Gets dark early this time of year.
