Hi everyone, Need to pick the knowledgable's brain, is there anyway or #'s to detremine if a Farmall tractor is indeed a Demo. Other than being painted white. Or is there such an animal in the Farmall history... Thanks

Keith

1st quarter of 1950: Cub, 99536-106517; Super A, 281269-285298; C, 47010-54411. Casting codes can range from maybe Sept 1949 (S) to March 1950 (T). Painted white at the factory. Supposed to have been painted red by the dealer before sale. Look for white under the hood, inside, behind and in front of the battery box, inside the tool box, etc. Doubt if the dealers did much prep or disassembly. Nothing special, to me, about them. I have a 1950 C, red over white. I completely disassembled it, stripped all the paint off and painted it red. A white Farmall to me just is not right, mid-century promotion or not. Others are, of course, free to differ. Saw a white C advertised for $10000 -- bull feathers.

Look at the serial number and casting codes--It MUST be a Cub, SA, or C, no others.

Keith, 1st of all what type of tractor is it, Cubs, A's B's an C's were the only style of farmall's that were White Demo's. There is alot of info on this site reguarding this subject, as the other fellows stated look under the "Research & info" section an do a (Seach this Site) you will find alot about this subject since it has been hashed over for a number of years on this site.

Do a search on this site, I don't have hte numbers with me, but the CW is that all the white demo's were done during the first quarter of 1950. They were supposed to have all been done at one time.

Super A, were they painted white over the red. Or was the primary color from base metal White? Sure would be nice if it was primary white, then one could check under exsisting paint in an obscure place...Just dreaming again...Thanks

I understand that the demonstrators were painted white at the factory, so if you find one with white paint under all that red, you probably have struck pay dirt, but don't let that convince you, I have seen the Farmall red paint fade out to the point that it appears to be white.

Nope, the serial numbers are mixed in with the numbers used with regular Farmalls.
