Got a dead solid miss on my 350D, blowing alot of white smoke at idle, less with higher rpm's. Changed the filters and had pump rebuilt, timing correct. Any suggestions? Valves, head gasket, injectors?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input.

Another question, I have been told if I run some bio-diesel for awhile it will clean up the injectors, valves and the fuel lines, is that true? Also get another set of filters ready if I do that.

I think Scott is onto it.
When you crank the engine over, does it crank evenly, or does it have a lope to it? Many times you can tell if there is a compression problem by listening to it crank (if it doesn"t start right away). Sometimes you can hear where the compression is going too, ie out the exhaust or out the intake/air cleaner.

The 350 has the continental engine in it. Do you have oil in water or water in oil? Are you loosing coolant? Could be a compression problem, bad valve, blown head gasket, ect. Did the miss start at once or has it been slowly getting worse? Do you hear a popping noise in the exhaust, that would indicate a bad valve. You had the pump rebuilt but not the injectors? A bad injector could have those symptoms. I would pull them first and have them tested. If they are good then you will have to go looking in the motor to find were you are loosing compression. Pistons and sleeves are no longer available for that engine but bearings, gaskets and some other parts still are. Good Luck!

It's not an IH motor, its a continental. Sounds like a check of the injectors would be good.
