Found a stuck AV. I like the idea of hi clearance, and offset for truck patch, but stuck engine turned out to be cracked block. Many seals shot. Lots of repair needed. Radiator and grill need replacing. One guy said a thousand dollar engine rebuild on a six hundred dollar tractor is a four hundred dollar loss. Any suggestions on how to determine if a resurrection is worthwhile, or to part out. I'd hate to cut up a tractor that might not be dead yet. Thanks for any suggestions.

Here's another way to look at it. You pay $600 for the tractor, sink another grand into it for engine repairs, now you have $1,600 invested in a tractor that will go out and do everything you need it to do. That same $1,600 will not come close to buying a new riding lawn mower, and the only thing it will do is cut the grass. Get the picture?

Forget the one that needs the repairs. Let the guy show you a couple $600 AVs.
