My parts manual shows three wheels as options for a Super C. See picture for part numbers.

I have seen a C with 38", probably M or H rims, on it. It looked as if they had just set the rims on and used the standard H rim clamps to hold it . The C rim is a flat base rim with the tabs riveted to it, the M/H rim is a deep well rim, and the well reduces the size of the center opening to where it is a pretty good fit on the C center. I don't recall whether the drive lugs were still on the rims, or whether they had to be removed for clearance.

I can't understand why anyone would want larger tires on a C or SC. To start with C and SC didn't have enough engine to handle the standard 36 inch tire. The C-113 and C-123 engines gave great hours of service in the smaller offset Farmalls What the C through 240 needed was the C-135 engine as used in 340 or 404.

My first question would be why? -- it will mess up your ground speed in each gear, along with the pulling power. H/M hubs will not fit, the C axle is smaller. That said, you can probably take 38 inch rims and weld or rivet taller clamps similar to the ones on your C rim to use with your existing hubs. I have seen pictures of a C with taller rims somewhere.

42 inch rims are shown in the "Super C" parts book. I have them on mine. I also have an extra set

According to the Super C parts manual on my CD there is only one size of center cast iron wheel/hub. It does show a DW8-42 rim size for a 9-42 tire size. It is part number 357497R91. I am going to go out on a limb and say that your chances of finding one of these at your local Case/IH dealer are pretty slim. The 42" rim must have used longer tabs on the rim to connect it to the wheel.

I had heard of those and expected to find them in my C parts book, but they are not there, must have been some additional interest after the C came out. I assume the rims have extensions and the wheels are the same?
