I have a IH model 33 loader on a M for sale and someone wants to know if it will mount on a H? If so any modification to make it work?

IH furnished a pair of spacers with the loader when it was fitted to a H. They bolted to the bolster. If I get a chance, I will post a picture later.

Wardner: Are you sure that is mounting hardware for a IH 33 loader? We had a 33 loader on a Farmall 300, and there was nothing but two braces hooked into side chanel beside engine. Those braces had two holes on each end giving adjustment for various tractors. The braces went to frame attached to axle housing and hooked to it just below pivot point of loader arms.

To me that plate in your photos looks more like the mounting for newer loader series that were painted white from factory. Models 2000 and 2001 come to mind. I had a 2000 loader also on my 560.

Hugh,

You could be right. I bought the loader (can't remember if it is a 31 or 33) from a guy who gave me the spacers with the sale. I have never put the loader on my H. I seem to recall that he asked me what tractor I was going to use. When I said H, he produced the brackets.

I photocopied a 33 loader manual from a friend some years back. If I knew where it was, I could answer your question with more authority.

Wardner: There is another possibility that being model 34. It had the loader sub frame go from axle housing right around front, quite similar to a Wagner. It was advertized as fitting Utility tractors. I do know of one 34 that went on a Farmall when new.

The reason I questioned you in beginning, was the mount looked similar to part that went on my 560 or 656 for the model 2000 loader, especially the part loader frame would contact.

Those pieces are not part of a #31 either.

The frame on the H is 2 inches narrower than the M.

FWIW!

Junkman: Yes a 33 loader will fit an H. Don't be surprised if it takes a few minor modifications. It may not work if H has wide front with tyrods out front.
