recently restored my farmall a. i got it runnung agian but it seems to be running on choke i rebuilt the carb but it still runs the same. someone said that it could be out of time.is there a way to check this?

I don't have an A but on the H and M the magneto is mounted on a pivot bolt, that you can swing the mag left or right, by doing so you advance or retard the firing instance of the mag and can set it where the tractor runs fine and has a "roll" to the engine, once the tractor is running the way you want it, tighten up the mounting bolts on the magneto....Mike in Exeter Ontario
