I went on the Sean Haskins fall tractor ride last Sat. Wow it was great. 30 miles on the back roads of the Glade top trail in the Ozarks hills. The weather was great and the trees all full of color. There was a cook out for the noon meal. One thing that was cool was we stopped at the old Hammond mill built in the 1800s that a couple has turned into there home. The only thing I will do different next time is I am going to stop at Harleys on the way down and borrow one of his M's. I took my little C cause it was light to haul the 90 miles but it was geared way way lower than anything else there. The H's and M's where just putt puttin and I was wide open in 4th gear with a little blue flame coming out of the stack on the hills. And there was lots of hills. There where about 25 tractors of all colors but mostly M's, MD's and H's. I will post some photos as soon as I can. Thanks for letting me ramble on.
Paul

Paul: Sounds like a nice little outing. I wouldn't fret much about your tractor, you probably used less fuel.

Great way to see some country. Just think about that guy, few years back. Drove his tractor and a tent trailer all the way from bottom 48 to Alaska and back in a summer. Man you will see countryside from the seat of a row crop tractor.

Hi Paul here in the UK we call them road runs and they are very popular anythig up to 400 tractors on the UKnational run. I take part and also organise rus in thi part of the UK (Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire) with between 30 to 120 tractors. My trusty steed is a 1945 Farmall H tractor totally original and still in its working clothes. In the runs so far this year this tractor has coverd 120 miles. Have fun with your tractors. MJ

I was down in the Cassville area a few years ago, went over to Eureka, I can only imagine what that looks like in her fall colors. I was there in August. I couldn't hardly breath. I guess you have to grow gills down there to breath that humid air.

There was a light frost on Saturday morning so the humidity was not a factor. It was nice and crisp. Light jacket weather here or swiming weather in Min.
