I have a 1940 H and I need the main spring that actuates the throttle. It has a hook on one end and a pin goes through the other. Does anyone know where I could get one, and what is the cost I am looking at? Thanks ahead of time!

You can find one at NAPA & it is a bit stronger than original so your engine speed can increase a bit.

I am pretty certain that spring you describe was discontinued, and replaced with the spring with a hook on each end. Like little john said, you should be able to get it at your local Case-IH dealer.

I got one for a '44 "H" recently at the Case IH dealer. This one had a hook on each end. Seems the cost was $5.00 or so.
