Dave: Tourist season is almost over and heating season is just starting. It's all about nailing those folks who cant say no.

Last night I saw Gas in Lebanon, Mo. for 2.12.9 , highest I saw was 2.49.9. I paid 3.39.9 for Diesel at The truck Stop at Collins, Mo. I saw some cheeper, but those places don't take Com Check Cards.

I deliver fuel mostly to rural customers, diesel and heating oil. I hate to give the customers the bills. Today I delivered gasoline for .95,diesel for .98, and coloured diesel for .90 per litre canadian. At these prices it's just killing everyone. Spoke with a diary farmer yesterday and he is paying much more to have his old cows shipped the he used to, beacuase of the fuel price, yet he is still getting the same for the cows. Bottom line, he's making less.

I"ve been noticing the very same trend here in central Iowa. Ethonal is $2.22-2.24/gal and diesel is running $3.19 in Des Moines and $3.39 out here in the sticks. It is a bad time to jack around with the prices of fuel, with harvest in full swing. Can"t see how anybody, farmers or truckers, can make any money at these prices. I just bought a diesel pickup too, what a bummer.

I live in south central Missouri and was in town earlier today. Regular unleaded was a low of $2.329 and diesel was $3.199. It has to be a supply and demand thing and like noted in another post the heating oil for the northeast is certainly in the news. Also, just look at all the trucks on the road these days. Let's hope it gets more affordable before next spring. Hal

“Diesel” is now being called heating oil and is being shipped to the northeast for winter. Prices will begin to drop soon as adequate supplies of heating oil are reached. Many stations in this area haven't been able to get diesel for some time...

Along interstate 70 in east central mo unleaded is 2.49 a gal, and diesel is 3.39. I filled my propane tank for home heating and it was 1.75 today.
