I have a bad TA in my 656D. I am going to split the tractor and install a new one - I think. I would love opinions on rebuilding versus purchasing a new or rebuilt TA and brand experience. I have a reasonably well equipped shop and a fair amount of rebuilding experience (no TA's).....motors etc.

Thanks, Tip

It can be done but beleve me when ya start replacing all them needel bearings and have them falling out and on the floor because ya don't have the service tool it is alot easier to get and assambly that way the plant gears are already timed and you won't be on here asken why it kills the engine when ya let the clutch out and won't move . but if ya want the experince . The only thing wrong with your T/A is that the ramp and rollers are shot.
