I just bought an International 240 Utility (late 50's?). The hydraulic pump evidently is leaking out the front seal because the engine oil level keeps going up and the hydraulic fluid level keeps going down. Does anyone know where I can get a reseal or rebuild kit for this unit? The manual that I have says that some models came with a Pesco pump and others came with a Thompson. I don't know which one I have.

Same issue on my 300, Case/IH dealer had the seal and other parts but the shaft was badly worn. Had a local machine shop send it out for chrome and grind, cost about $100 CDN. All is well for about a year now.

Your Case/IH dealer has them - reasonable too.

Thanks for the help. I called a local Case/IH dealer and they said that they had a front seal but did not have any other seals or parts for my pump. They also told me that a rebuild kit is no longer available for the 240 Utility. They did however have a rebuilt unit that they would sell me for $300. It is strange that reseal kits and internal parts are no longer available but someone out there can rebuild the pumps and sell a complete unit. I have not tried some of the other sources yet, but I will.
