You must not be locking the tie rod with the bolt in the slot or you wouldnt be getting out of alignment. The square heavy duty one uses the same tie rod assy so that wont cure the problems. Better check the movable end on each tie rod to see why they wont lock when the bolt and clamp are tightened.

flem: Haven't done an alingment on my Super A for over 15 years. I suggest you trade the Super A for a Sherman Tank. I think in will stand up for you.

The front end is plenty strong for farm use. I can't imagine it coming out of alignment unless you are really abusing it. If you are, then you are messing up other parts too.

No, there is no heavier front end for these tractors. Remember, they're 50+ years old in many cases, and aftermarket upgrades are far and few between these days. You're lucky the reproduction parts market is as good as it is to keep them running.

Repeat after me:

A tractor is not a bulldozer.
A tractor is not a monster truck.
A tractor is not a dune buggy.
A tractor is not a quad/ATV/four-wheeler.

If the front end is not holding up to your "use" then it's not use, it's ABUSE. These tractors will hold up to quite a bit of punishment, and you can often get away with using them for things they were never designed to do, but there are limits. It sounds like you've reached them.

Flem, The industrial Super A with square channel tube for an axle would be the strongest on any of the Super A tractors. But if your knocking the frontend out of alignment, Im not sure that would even help! If your bolts are locked through on the tierod arms, I cant see how its getting knocked out of alignment. Do you have excessive play on your tierod ball ends? There is an adjustment for that, maybe others will have more input.
