Hi, A couple of questions. First off, As crazy as this may sound, I'd like to swap off my Wide-front end on my 1206 for a Narrow Front. What other model tractors used the same pedistal that would bolt up to my 1206?

Secondly, I know I have a very late 1206, not knowing a ton about these tractors. The Serial number is 15151. I noticed all of the other 1206's I've seen say "Farmall" across the side pannels, and they have a black decal reading 1206 on the front pannels. Mine says "International" accross the side pannels and has a metal emblem on the sides that read 1206 diesel on front. Is this because of it being a late one? How collectable are these tractors? Thanks Again for any input! Rob

If your tractor is a Farmall 1206 the same tricycle from a 706, 806, 560, and others will bolt right on. If your tractor is a International 1206 you cannot install a tricycle front.

I am pretty sure a narrow front off a 706 to the 56, 66 series. I heard about fronts off M's 460, 560 also fit?

No expert here but it sounds like your 1206 is an international or what some would call a wheatland does it have an adjustable front or non adjustable front. 38" rear tires or 32" rear tires?

Thanks for the Front End help.

See, that's the tricky part. My tractor is a Row-Crop. It has the 38" rear wheels, an adjustable wide front end and a 3-pt. I know initially, the "Farmalls" were the Row-Crops and the "Internationals" were the Standard versions, but I've got an International Row-Crop. The later 56 series were all Internationals, so my guess, is that I just have a really late 1206 and they already changed names....I Guess??

Your tractor can still be an International and have 38" rear tires and adjustable front axle. However the International adjustable front axle is different from the Farmall and due to the type steering cannot mount a tricycle front. If just your name plate is wrong, no problem, but look at type of steering you have.

See, The serial tag says F-1206, so I know it's a row-crop. The adjustable wide front bolts on like a 460/560 tractor, so I know it can be taken off and a pedistal added

The last tractors to say "FARMALL" on the sides of the hood were the '06 series, but there were still Farmalls and Internationals through the '56 series and into the '66 series through 1975.

On the '56 and '66 series tractors, the Farmall was moved down to the model number emblem on the "doglegs" of the hood.

Always keep in mind that the emblems are not always original.

all the row croppers said farmall on them when they left the factory. someone just changed decals on it at some point or need new metal and they found a standard instead of a rowcrop.
