I was reading/ looking at "Farmall Model H Photo Archive" ( a picture book) and I noticed a lot of (I think) early Model H's with a muffler with a short exhaust pipe. Can anyone tell me about this. I am sure that the exhaust pipes were lengthed to keep exhaust gas out of peoples faces but was just curious. Thanks!!

At some point in time the exhaust pipes were lengthened. Don't know when. My dad's 47 H came with a short pipe. Pretty sure they were made longer shortly after that.

My opinion is that sheds were not often sized for Farmalls, the farmalls were sized for the shed. This includes Barn center isles and other buildings.

I'm sure that some were, but the early mufflers had short stacks.
