I would like to add power steering to my "new to me" Farmall 350. What would be the best/easiest way to do it? Find the factory Behlen set up from a salvage tractor or use an Eaton/Char-lynn steering motor with an aftermarket flow divider? I don't really want to use a belt driven power steering pump. Thanks in advance for your input.

Mornin' Tim,

I think the easiest way for you would be to just cut the steering shaft and bolt on the Char-Lynn with either a priority valve or a flow divider, since you already have the pump and tank arrangement.

A new torque motor will run about $600 and the valve at $85, if I remember right. A few hoses, 2 shaft couplers and you should be in business.

Here's a picture of my old H which is "kinda" the same tractor.
