You guys got it all wrong. It's when I go to an auction and buy this old part out of the scrap iron pile. See it's New to me, and it's old and now it's in my stock so I can sell it as New old stock.. Now if you don't beleive me look at some of them ads on ebay :):).

New Old Stock, or New Original Stock, both mean the same thing, part that has never been out of the box but could be 50 years old.

New Old Stock is one translation. Basically it means that the part is a new OEM part that's been sitting around for a long time. For example, a brand new carburetor for a Farmall A that's been sitting in a box on the dealer's shelf since 1939.

New Old Stock.
My take on the meaning is that these are parts made contemporaneously with the equipment for which they were intended that have been in storage ever since.
