I am looking at a 1948 H with all 12V and decent tires. Descent metal, no smoke. Asking $1100.00
Good deal?

I find that my H is priceless to me but worth to others only what they would pay for it. I have a buddy that bought a new Kubota with a mower and he will be paying for it for years and my H does the exact same thing, with more style and has been payed for since about 1950. Or least the first time it was payed for. And by the way I payed more for my H. If you need it "want" it buy it.

Paul, it was nice seeing yours and your dad's tractors at the steam show a few weeks ago. Thanks for going to the effort to bring them. Hope you didn't have any problems getting them back home with the rain later on the weekend. It was a pleasure getting to meet you as well. Please stop by if you ever get up in the Rolla area.

It depends on condition a tractor that is in first class shape and needs no work would be cheaper in the long run than one that needs major work for free.

Sounds like a good deal to me. New rear tires would set you back $500.+.

I bought a 47 H in Southern Indiana last March for $1,500. The grill was dinged up some, had new rubber on the rear and had an after market 3pt hitch. I also got a 5 foot blade and lifting boom with it. There are a lot of them out there. The cost is realitive to how much more you will have to put in to it to get the way you want it.

If you are happy with the price, then it's a good deal. Prices vary widely depending on location. There are lots of places to compare if you'd like, starting with Tractor Values on this page, EBay, local ads, etc.
