Well just had the powersteering pump replaces on the IH 806. All together it came to $500 which includes parts and installation. He also came out to the farm to do the work. I know I couldn't have done it myself so it was worth it but do you think it was about the correct charge for this work?

I"d say you got a deal, considering what big dealers charge for labor and road time these days.

I'm always happy if my bill for a service call is under $1000. I'd say everything worked out fine.

John that sounds reasonable to me. I have to buy a new hydrolic pump for my 450 Diesel and the cheapest one i'v found so far is 800 bucks.
