G"day,
Im a young bloke and we have a 786 with TA, but it seems to be stuck. Is there any simple solution to try and release it or get it to re enguage (as im not sure if it is on or off at the moment). I have heard that the TA"s would often stick and that you need to pull it apart to get it working again, but that will be to costly and i can manage without it.

Maybe some sort of additive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Adam

replace the cable and see if it still has the low side , more then likely if the cable is stuck then low side is out and that they just didnot use it and if ya don't use it you lose it.

Thanks for that tractor vet, i just asked dad and it sounds like it could have a stretched cable as it doesnt feel like it has any real tension in it. He did use it all the time but said that it went anyway, it been 15 yrs since he was at the farm so his memory isnt as clear as it was, but it seems like the cable could be the problem. He said that the lever amost used to spring into place, but it is just a constant slide now. I will check the cable and get back to you.

Cheers Adam
