Does anyone know if you can still get the sending unit for a Farmall 460 from the dealer? I did a web search and did not find them listed anywhere. Mine is permanently stuck on full. Wish it was correct!

Steve, I guess youre fer sure its a sending unit problem (usually is) and not the gauge??? If the gauge has voltage to its input (usually turns hot when ignition switched ON) and you take the output and totally disconnest it then ground it and that makes it full deflect from FULL to EMPTY etc. its likely good, and the problem is indeed a faulty sender as you suspect.

Ive also had problems where the sender isnt getting a good case ground (like from the tank or else its own lil grounding pigtail terminal) and conversely where the wire down to the sender is shorted out making the gauge stay constant.

Call this number and ask for farm equipment parts.
If any are available they should have it or be able to get it. Hal 1-800-732-0017
