Several days ago I posted for help with a Super H Carb that had a broken idle jet.
Armed with a part number given to me by one of you, I stopped at a CIH dealer in Walnut Creek Ohio on my way to visit a brother.
The dealer didn’t have one in stock….part number 49798d75…., but said it was available and would order it for me. I was a little skeptical about it actually being available, but plunked down $27 plus some change to have it dropped-shipped to me. The part cost between $18 and $19, and the rest was shipping.
Low and behold, when I got home from work today there was a package on my front steps.
The remaining part of the jet still in the carb came right out with a little persuasion from the point of a well worn pocket knife that was the closest thing I had to an easy out.
Thanks for everyone’s help and advice.
The carbs back together now with new needle and seat, gaskets etc., and with weather and time permitting, I’ll bolt it back on the manifold tomorrow.

Thanks guys and/or gals!
Gary

Sometimes ya just gotta get lucky, might be time for you to buy a lottery ticket? Could you maybe pass a little of that luck to me? I have an M carburetor with that same piece broken off, hadn't even noticed it was gone until you posted that picture.

I wouldn't have noticed either if the other half hadn't been in the bottom of the bowl.
