Sam, use 90 wt gear oil in the trans sorry can't remember how much. Just fill to the check plug.

The transmission and differential will hold 52
quarts if this is a refill. Hal
PS: That's a lot of gear oil 13 gallons.

Any auto parts store can cross-reference those numbers to Fram, Purolator or any major filter
manufacturer. Hal

Question for El Toro...are these same part numbers for my '53 Super M? Just trying to learn something from all the expertise I see on this site. You guys are something else. That's a compliment.

The Super M uses filter No 1125 from NAPA or 51125
from Wix filters. Hal

Thanks, El Toro, for the help. I appreciate it. By the way, a farmer friend of mine is restoring a 1947 M. Just found that out today (when I asked him about a place to house mine for the winter). He asked if I could help him out when it came to getting answers on the Internet. I told him about this great site. He said he wasn't too cool with computers, so I'm sure I'll be asking some questions about M's in his behalf. Actually, one of his questions comes to mind. His M has the small inset at the bottom of the radiator grill missing. He asked what this inset was for. I read about it somewhere but could not remember the answer. Can you tell me? I'll pass it along. Thanks, in advance.

You should put that question on the Farmall forum.
These tractor restorer's will know exactly what
the part is that's missing in the grill. Hal

Any auto parts store can cross-reference those
filter numbers to Fram or any other name brand filters they carry. Hal
