49686 is the serial number, the rest are part numbers.

Yup...that's the serial number alright. Think the question was about the year made and that, according to my chart, is 1941. Remember though that these little Farmalls, like the N Fords, could have had parts swapped back and forth. Many parts are interchangeable with the A and some even with the C. Looking for other clues, like the year of casting codes, etc will help you gain support for the year. Some of the guys here can tell you where to look. There should be a stamped serial number near the #1 cylinder on the right side that will match your seat number. That is a good clue. Also, their is a casting code for the block, I believe, that references a date of manufacture. If you get enough numbers to match up then I would say you are good to go with 1941. Sound like I have done this recently?
Guess so!
